Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 3 cups sparkling water, cold
  • 2 drops lavender extract
  • purple food coloring, optional, to taste
  • ice, to taste
  • lemon slices, to taste, for garnish
  • fresh lavender sprigs, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -In a pan over medium heat, combine the water and the sugar.

Step 2 -Allow the mixture to simmer and cook, stirring until the sugar is thoroughly dissolved.

Step 3 -Let the simple syrup cool to room temperature.

Step 4 -Combine the simple syrup, the lemon juice, and the sparkling water in a pitcher.

Step 5 -Add the lavender extract.

Step 6 -Add the purple food coloring, 1 drop at a time.

Step 7 -Serve over the ice.
