Ingredients

  • For the cardamom-saffron tincture:
  • 1 tablespoon green cardamom pods, cracked
  • saffron threads, to taste
  • 1/4 cup high-proof clear alcohol, such as vodka or Everclear® Grain Alcohol
  • For the drink:
  • 1 ounce Cocchi Americano bianco aperitivo
  • 1/2 ounce St. Germain® elderflower liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • ice, to taste
  • prosecco, to taste
  • lemon twist, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Combine the cardamom pods, the saffron threads, and the high-proof alcohol in a small jar.

Step 2 -Allow the jar to sit undisturbed for 24 hours.

Step 3 -Strain the tincture mixture and pour it into a container.

Step 4 -Combine the bianco aperitivo, the St. Germain, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with the ice.

Step 5 -Shake for several seconds to combine and chill.

Step 6 -Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with the ice.

Step 7 -Add 5-10 drops of the cardamom-saffron tincture.

Step 8 -Fill with the prosecco and garnish with the lemon twist.

Step 9 -Serve!
