Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (5.1-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (11-ounce) package vanilla wafer cookies
  • 5 ripe bananas, sliced, plus more, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -In a large bowl, beat the sweetened condensed milk and the cream cheese with a hand mixer until fluffy.

Step 2 -Add in the pudding mix, the milk, and the vanilla and continue beating until well-mixed.

Step 3 -In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

Step 4 -Add the powdered sugar to the heavy cream and beat until stiff peaks form.

Step 5 -Set 2 1/2 cups of the whipped cream aside for topping.

Step 6 -Fold the remaining whipped cream into the pudding mixture.

Step 7 -Line the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan or two 9x9-inch pans with the vanilla wafers, then top the wafers with the 5 sliced bananas.

Step 8 -Spread the pudding mixture over the top of the banana layer, ensuring the bananas are completely covered.

Step 9 -Top the pudding layer with the remaining whipped cream.

Step 10 -Cover and refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours and up to overnight.

Step 11 -Garnish with the extra banana slices and serve.
