  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups bleached white flour
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Using a handheld or stand mixer, cream together the butter, the sugar, the salt, and the vanilla until light and fluffy.

Step 3 -Using a wooden spoon or spatula, stir in the flour, being careful not to overmix.

Step 4 -Stir in the chocolate chips.

Step 5 -Pour the cookie dough into a 9x13-inch metal baking pan and press the dough down very firmly.

Step 6 -Bake until the edges are slightly golden, about 20-25 minutes.
