  • 1 ounce vodka, optional
  • 1 cup prepared hot chocolate, homemade or store-bought, cooled
  • 5 maraschino cherries
  • 2 teaspoons maraschino cherry juice
  • Optional, for serving:
  • whipped cream, to taste
  • maraschino cherries, to taste
  • chocolate sauce, to taste

Directions

Step 1 -In a blender, add the vodka, the cooled hot chocolate, 5 of the cherries, and the cherry juice and blend the mixture until smooth.

Step 2 -Reheat the hot chocolate mixture to your preferred temperature.

Step 3 -Transfer the hot chocolate to a serving glass.

Step 4 -Serve garnished with the whipped cream, the remaining cherries, and the chocolate sauce.
