Cheeseburgers... but make them fun! Whether you're hosting the Big Game or you just want to add a bit of pizzaz to your dinnertime, these really are the Best Cheeseburger Cups for the job. Beloved burger sliders can't even compare to these crispy, muffin-shaped buns filled to the brim with juicy ground beef, gooey cheese, and all your favorite condiments. Something about the way the flavors meld together will really bring the thrill back to enjoying your meal. The Best Cheeseburger Cups are where it's at when it comes to livening things up in the most delicious way!
Ingredients
- For the burger cups:
- 6 hamburger buns, split in half and flattened to 1/4-inch thickness
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- kosher salt, to taste
- ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 slices cheddar cheese, quartered
- For the toppings:
- ketchup, to taste
- yellow mustard, to taste
- 12 pickle chips
- sesame seeds, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Coat a muffin tin with cooking spray.
Step 3 -Place 1 of the bun halves, cut-side up, into each of the prepared muffin cups, pressing them down slightly to form a cup.
Step 4 -In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the oil.
Step 5 -Add the onion to the heated oil and cook, while stirring, until it has softened, about 5 minutes.
Step 6 -Add the ground beef to the onion and cook, while crumbling the meat, until the beef is no longer pink, about 6 minutes. Drain the excess fat.
Step 7 -Add the garlic powder, the salt, and the pepper to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
Step 8 -Evenly divide the ground beef mixture between the hamburger bun cups and top each with 1 piece of the quartered cheddar cheese.
Step 9 -Bake the cheeseburger cups until the cheese has melted and the buns are golden, about 10 minutes.
Step 10 -Drizzle each of the cheeseburger cups with the ketchup and the mustard and top each with 1 of the pickle chips.
Step 11 -Serve the cheeseburger cups, topped with the sesame seeds.
